Just a short email to tell you about the fantastic reception your amazing cake received.

We presented the cake to Harry, our local SES controller, on his 60th surprise birthday party.

At first he looked at the cake with suspicion as he thought we were playing a trick on him with the helmet. When he realised it (the helmet) was actually a handmade cake, he was really blown away. He actually did not want to cut the cake (destroy it) and was seriously thinking of NOT wanting to share it with his guests, who were equally amazed and impressed with your decorating ability.

It was really WOW and the best birthday gift we could have given......

Well, the party was a great success (except for one little girl who desolved into tears because word got out she loves Zeke from Neighbours- but I won't burst your bubble about having girls, you've got a while yet before they turn all emotional on you!!)

The cake- when it came out, there was a collective 'ooooohhhhh' from the crowd, and the owner of the venue said it was the 'best looking cake' she'd ever seen (and she'd have seen some cakes!!)

It tasted great and we had more than a third to bring home, which I've cut into coffee portions and frozen.

Thanks again for going to so much trouble. You are very talented :-)
